Group Therapy

If you’ve ever wished for a space where you can really be heard where people listen, understand, and help you make sense of what’s going on, then group therapy might be for you. It’s not about having all the answers; it’s about being part of something real. A group offers the chance to see yourself through others’ eyes, to feel supported, and to explore what it means to connect in a genuine way. Many people find that over time, group therapy helps them feel lighter, more confident, and more at ease both in the group and in everyday life.

What Is Group Therapy?

Group therapy is about people coming together to talk, listen, and learn with gentle guidance from a trained therapist. It’s a space where you can explore what’s happening in your life, how you relate to others, and what might be holding you back from feeling more connected or at ease.

Unlike one-to-one therapy, group therapy lets you see yourself through other people’s eyes. You’ll discover patterns, share experiences, and feel genuinely understood. Many people find this kind of honest, supportive environment leads to lasting change and a stronger sense of belonging.

What You Can Expect

Groups are small and welcoming, usually up to eight people. Everyone agrees to keep things confidential: first names only, and no contact between sessions.
Because you meet with the same people each week, you get to know each other and build trust over time. The group becomes a steady space where you can talk freely and explore what’s really on your mind.

This is a place to be curious, to learn more about yourself, and to experiment with new ways of relating to others.

Showing Up Matters

Group therapy works best when everyone commits to being there. Your presence helps make the group a safe, consistent space for everyone.
Sessions last 90 minutes and meet weekly or twice a week. Most people find that attending regularly for at least a year brings the deepest benefits and long-lasting change.

A Welcoming, Non-Judgemental Space

Our groups are open to people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds. You don’t need any previous therapy experience, just openness and a willingness to explore.

Sometimes, people discover feelings or habits they hadn’t noticed before. Working through these together helps everyone grow in understanding, acceptance, and compassion, for themselves and others.

Meeting Face to Face

All our groups currently meet in person. Rooms are comfortable and well-ventilated, so you might want to bring an extra layer just in case.

Inside a Session

There’s no set agenda, conversations unfold naturally. What’s going on in your life often finds its way into the room, and that’s where the group helps you think and feel it through.
You might talk about something from your week or a feeling that’s hard to put into words. Others listen, reflect, and sometimes share how they relate. Often, what starts small leads to deeper insight.
You’ll begin to notice how others experience you, and how your past might still shape how you connect today. With time, this understanding helps you feel more confident, relaxed, and at ease in your own skin.

Getting Started

Before joining, you’ll have a one-to-one chat with the group therapist to talk about what you’re hoping for and whether a group feels like the right next step.
On the day, members arrive a few minutes early to settle in. Once the therapist joins, the group begins, often with a quiet moment before someone starts to speak.
Over time, sharing and listening develop a natural rhythm of connection and discovery.

How Change Happens

As people talk and respond, different perspectives emerge, supportive, thoughtful, and sometimes gently challenging. Feelings begin to find words, and new understanding takes shape.

Gradually, you start to notice real shifts, being more open, more honest with yourself, and more comfortable around others. The confidence and freedom that begin in the group often ripple out into everyday life.
